Ribbons and Roses — Styled Concept

Timeless neutrals, vintage textiles, and a few special props bring this concept to life.

Julia and I put together a few simple, but classical looks and spent a spring afternoon capturing them across two locations in the Piedmont neighborhood in Portland.

The first spot was an old Catholic boarding school, and it retains a lot of its original features — including these huge portrait windows that provided a lot of beautiful light.

The second location was my own apartment — I pared it down and brought in some vintage props from Recollection. With an old Sherlock Holmes anthology, a yellow telephone, and a bouquet of white roses wrapped in ribbon, we created something special with some super simple elements!
