All Dressed Up and Nowhere to Go

The tale of a party girl with lots of frills and just a bit of grit —

First of all, thank you to Selin for publishing this editorial in their most recent Fashion issue —

I purchased this dress at a garage sale in my neighborhood —my husband and I were driving around one weekend and the sheer volume of fluff caught my eye. He whipped the car around and I handed over $1 for this former prom dress from the 1980s. I paired it with this harness, which adds a bit of modernity and masculinity to this look. I tied in the silver hardware on the harness buckles with these black and silver buckled combat boots, and silver chain jewelry — then I brought back the femininity with the bow barrette and long, wavy hair. Thanks so much to these lovely gals for romping around downtown Portland with me at 10pm on a Tuesday.
