“San Xavier”

While examining the slides in my “Buildings + Architecture” category, I realized that these two photos were taken of the same place, but by different people — and 12 years apart.

San Xavier del Bac is a 18th-century Catholic mission just outside Tuscon, Arizona on the Tohono O'odham reservation. Its nickname is “The White Dove of the Desert" and it’s not hard to see why it’s a popular place to photograph.
