Once I started envisioning the looks for this styled shoot, I instantly knew that I wanted to start with a base of cream fabric instead of white — and I wanted lots of lace. I have had both her dress and his shirt in my closet for a while now, but I have never thought to use them together. The floral lace shirt is made up of just that — lace — and is therefore pretty sheer, but I think it added some edge and modernity to this otherwise old-fashioned shoot.
I paired his brown shoes with a light brown corduroy coat, and added a few classic pieces to her outfit: a headband and gloves, both covered in faux pearls.
