Powell Butte Romp

In my few years in Portland, I have come to recognize and obsess over our native plants and pollinators — during this shoot, we arrived at Powell Butte to discover it completely covered in seasonal Lupine (Lupinus albus) flowers. These purple beauties provided an extra hint of color that I wasn’t expecting, but was wholly excited by. The rest of the park was also greener than I’ve ever seen it, sporting lush tall grasses where yellow, dried fields usually take over. I also challenged myself during this shoot to take more landscape-oriented photos — they turned out to be my favorites from the whole set.
