SARA + DYLAN

Oh, Sara and Dylan. I couldn’t possibly explain in a simple blurb how much fun this wedding was, and how much love I felt from their wedding party throughout this special day. I felt immediately welcomed by their tight-knit parties into their respective cozy getting-ready rooms. Even before the wedding, when I met up with them for the first time over coffee, I could tell they had something special. They’re just… Unbelievably cool. I was an instant fan of Sara’s art, and have loved following her work in the years since I met them.

As far as venues go, this one was thoughtfully decorated and had beautiful natural light. The Colony’s bridal bathroom was completely pink — complete with a pink bathtub, which I was obviously obsessed with. I loved watching Sara’s bridesmaids, completely decked out in sequins and glitter, complete the finishing touches on her dress. The final piece was this fluffy pink shrug — which came in handy on this breezy Portland February afternoon. Both the dress and the shrug are from BHLDN. Dylan’s suit had a subtle checkered pattern that helped him stand out against his groomsmen, along with that rad floral tie. Sara and Dylan are hands-down one of the best dressed couples I have ever met — it doesn’t get much better for a wedding photographer.

Their wedding was the definition of glamorous, and was absolutely covered in flowers — from Sara’s cascading bouquet to a stunning wedding arch and newlywed’s table. In a beautifully classic move, all of the groomsmen also had boutonnieres that matched their dates’ bouquets.
This whole wedding was an absolute dream to capture, and I’ve loved keeping in touch with them and capturing their family as it grows.
