Foggy Couples Session at Hoyt Arboretum

First things first — can we just take a moment to talk about the styling here? Emmanuel and Jordan obviously needed no guidance from me prior to this quick mini shoot, and showed up in elegantly coordinating outfits that were perfectly suited to the environment. On this late fall morning, we found the west side of Hoyt Arboretum blanketed with fog, which added a dreamy haze to their photos. We had the park almost entirely to ourselves, save for a few fellow earlybirds.
Portland has so many sprawling public forests that occupy an incredible amount of the metro area. Hoyt Arboretum is split into an east side and a west side — they each have their own particular charm and I find myself going between the two based on the season. I personally love this location and always recommend it to my Portland couples for anything from engagement photos to full weddings because every trail and rest stop is photogenic — Mother Nature truly has no bad angles.
